Meet Our Founder

Ramon Looby is the Founder and Managing Partner of AXXALE, where he leads strategic initiatives to support government, business, civic, and non-profit originations in navigating complex communications, policy, and community landscapes. With a deep commitment to providing a world-class experience to his clients, Looby established AXXALE to provide expertise in strategic communications, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Before founding AXXALE, Looby served as President and CEO of the Maryland Bankers Association (MBA), the premier professional association representing Maryland’s commercial banks and thrifts. In this role, he positioned MBA as a critical resource for the industry, advocating for responsible banking policies and supporting the economic vitality of Maryland communities.

 

Ramon earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Florida. His early career in public service and community engagement has informed his work and continues to inspire his leadership approach at AXXALE.

Senior Vice President and Public Policy Lead, Bank of America Corporation

At Bank of America, Looby directed the company’s public policy initiatives regionally, offering strategic guidance to senior executives and ensuring alignment with community and company needs.

Policy Leadership, Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA)

Looby led advocacy efforts on behalf of the consumer data / transactional risk management  industries, managing policy portfolios and testifying before legislative and regulatory bodies to support industry advancement testifying before state legislative bodies including the Florida State House of Representatives, the Massachusetts House of Representatives ,  Missouri House of Representatives, Puerto Rico Senate, Alaska House of Representatives and Utah House of Representatives and State Senate.

Secretariat General, World Consumer Credit Reporting Conference

Looby oversaw the planning and execution of this high-profile, multi-million dollar international event, coordinating with stakeholders to drive global standards in consumer credit reporting.

Special Advisor, United States Chamber of Commerce

Looby served as a strategic advisor on international trade and policy, focusing on issues affecting U.S. business interests in the Middle East and North Africa.
